Three UTEP basketball players earned Conference USA honors this week, UTEP athletics officials announced Monday. UTEP junior forward Derrick Caracter was selected Rookie of the Week. Caracter scored 22 points and had 13 rebounds in UTEP’s win against Houston. He had 12 points and 12 rebounds in the Miners’ victory over Tulsa.
